The Jewish Cultural School and Society functions similar
to a synagogue providing adults and children with education, holiday celebrations, life cycle events, social gatherings and
cultural activities. Our organization is guided by the Secular Humanist branch of Judaism. Membership in the JCSS is open
to all individuals who subscribe to the JCSS Identity and have paid their appropriate dues and tuition. The amount of dues
and tuition fees may vary with age, household and School enrollment.
Participation
Participation is vital to the functioning of the JCSS.
All parents of children enrolled in the School are required to serve on at least one Standing Committee and one Holiday Committee,
and to help in classrooms as requested (Class Parent, Parent-of-the Day, substitute,etc.). All JCSS members are urged to attend
Member Meetings which are usually scheduled every month.
Affiliation
All JCSS members are also members of the Congress of Secular Jewish Organizations (CSJO) and receive newsletters from
both groups.
